About the role
We’re looking for an Underwriter Assistant, Specialty Solutions, to join our growing team!
What you’ll do here:
- Process insurance policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations and new business.
- Prepare new business for input into our systems.
- Responsible for data integrity of policies and assists Underwriter with data quality.
- Provide legendary customer service to brokers, by responding to their requests and inquiries regarding changes to policies, through written and verbal correspondence.
- Support Underwriters with their service requests.
- Build relationships and networks to support your professional growth and success.
- Innovate through your contributions to improve efficiency.
- Identifies and assigns incoming inquiries to appropriate individuals.
- Other administrative duties and tasks as required.
What you bring to the table:
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritize work and thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient data entry skills and strong attention to details
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Computer proficiency and the ability to navigate through multiple systems
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
- Bilingual (French & English) required. Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country
