Salary range (but not limited to):

128,300 - 156,800

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

15%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are thrilled to announce the opening of 3 team lead positions in Actuarial! In this role, you will report to a manager and will be responsible for leading a small team of 1–3 actuarial analysts while serving as both technical and project lead. This will be a great opportunity to get meaningful management experience while staying close to technical work. Operational Performance Analytics: OPA is a national analytics team dedicated to delivering insights and analysis that support Intact Insurance in enhancing operational excellence, driving productivity, fostering growth and elevating service quality across underwriting teams.

Corporate Actuarial: Our Corporate Actuarial team successfully leads multidisciplinary projects and partners with Finance and Actuarial pricing to support strategic decision-making. As Team Lead, you will own actuarial initiatives and spearhead the financial planning project.

 

PL Insights – Strategic Initiatives & Risk Control:  We enable data-driven excellence across the Personal Lines portfolio delivering accurate, insightful reporting for its largest book of business.
Through collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders, we transform analytics into actionable intelligence that strengthens strategic decision-making.

 

What you will do here:

 

  • Contribute to executing key actuarial objectives by actively participating in hands-on work, providing technical advice to team members, ensuring the quality of their work, and formulating appropriate recommendations to improve the performance of products and services.

  • Manage the evaluation, development and coaching of their team members to achieve the company’s strategic objectives, while creating a highly engaged workforce, where employees contribute to the success of the team and company.

  • Manage their team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget planning.

  • Represent the actuarial function in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with other business units.

 

What you bring to the table:

 

  • University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • Job-specific designation: Mathematics, Actuarial Science, FCAS or FCIA an asset.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience, including 1 year of coaching (major asset).

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques.

  • Lead with vision and values.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
