About the role

Join a high-performing Management Liability and Crime team where your technical expertise and strategic thinking can make a real impact.

As Specialist within Intact Specialty Solutions, you will use your underwriting experience and market insights to play a pivotal role in advancing our portfolio.

What you’ll do here:

  • Help to explore new growth and profitability opportunities through technical research, market analysis, and strong relationship building.

  • Effectively manage complex new business, renewals, and handle referrals from team members,

  • Relying on your expertise in underwriting, offer guidance to colleagues and support distribution underwriters on complex risks

  • Be present in the market, participating in broker visits, industry functions and marketing events

  • Support with product development, helping shape the future of our offering

  • Contribute to strategy development and lead by example to help drive performance

  • Inspire innovation by bringing fresh thinking and creative solutions to help our team thrive

  • Perform technical underwriting audits

What you bring to the table:

  • University degree/College diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Management Liability and Commercial Crime

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience underwriting publicly traded and dual-listed companies is an asset

  • A natural self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with national teams

  • Excellent analytical, negotiating, and decision-making skills

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to persuade as well as challenge the status quo constructively

  • Proven ability to stay focused and adaptable through changing priorities and shifting market conditions

  • Comfortable engaging across all levels of the organization with confidence and respect

  • High level of integrity and accountability

  • CIP, FCIP and/or CRM designation is an asset

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
