To do so, the Distribution Financial Strategy team provides financial support to several firms of different sizes through lending and equity investments, in addition to supporting succession planning and sound investment governance.

What you’ll do here
Actively contribute to executing and advancing BFS’s financial transactions, including insurance distribution business valuation, the modelling of financial agreements, the drafting of relevant transactional memos to obtain necessary approvals, and following up on the drafting of relevant legal documents.
Complete, present and monitor dashboards showing the business performance of these partners and their alignment with their strategic planning.
Collect, review and analyze information to support development initiatives and propose recommendations.
Support brokers and agents in setting their strategic, financial and operational goals, focusing on performance, growth and profitability indicators.
Support team members in the execution of special projects and in their day-to-day responsibilities.
What you bring to the table
A relevant CPA or CFA designation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
More than 3 years of relevant experience and a track record of successfully using your financial expertise for business development.
In-depth knowledge of business transactions, M&A, financing, business valuation.
Extensive experience in financial analysis combined with general legal knowledge and an understanding of the main tax concepts for companies and individuals.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and strong financial modelling skills (Excel and Power BI).
Ability to build sound business relationships (internal and external) using strong oral and written communication skills.
A passion for excellence in investment (i.e., applying mathematical methods to business issues and designing models to support investing activities, risk management, estimates and credit) and support for investment decisions creating long-term value.
Initiative, a desire to learn and understand, and a strong interest in working as part of a team.
Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize your work and manage several files at once.
