About the role
Join a high-performing Management Liability and Crime team where your advanced technical expertise and thought leadership can drive real impact.
As Senior Specialist within Intact Specialty Solutions, you will offer expert guidance on complex risks, portfolio strategy, and product development, primarily in Central and Atlantic region. You will play a key role in advancing our national underwriting strategy, supporting teams across the country, and helping drive innovation and excellence in our offerings to the market.
What you’ll do here:
As a national subject matter expert for Management Liability and Crime, collaborate with underwriting teams and senior leadership, finding creative ways to help us achieve our strategic goals
Lead and contribute to national strategic projects that shape the future of our offerings and solidify our position us as a market leader in Financial Lines
Leverage your market insight and strong relationships to proactively identify and capitalize on new growth and profitability opportunities
Be present in the market, participating in broker visits, industry functions and marketing events
Help drive performance by championing best practices and contributing to a culture of operational excellence
Inspire innovation by bringing critical thinking and creative problem solving to help our team thrive in a dynamic and competitive environment
Develop and deliver training for the underwriters and brokers and lead information sessions on new developments in products, guidelines and processes.
Perform technical underwriting audits
What you bring to the table:
University degree or College diploma, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
Minimum 10 years of underwriting experience in Management Liability and Commercial Crime
Advanced technical knowledge within commercial crime and D&O for publicly traded and dual-listed companies is an asset
A natural leader and collaborator with the ability to work independently while supporting diverse national teams
Exceptional strategic thinking and market insight that help shape underwriting direction and product evolution
Excellent analytical, negotiating, and decision-making skills
Strong communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and challenge the status quo constructively
High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership
Comfortable engaging across all levels of the organization, from front-line underwriters to senior leadership
Proven ability to manage shifting priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
CIP, FCIP and/or CRM designation is an asset
No Canadian work experience required; however, candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
