About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Product Owner at Intact Lab – Temporary position 1 year!

Our growing team is looking for a Product Owner (PO) to develop and test new value-added features in our mobile applications. You will work with a dynamic team composed of designers, analysts, and developers, whose mission is to de-risk innovative solutions by quickly assessing their feasibility, desirability, and viability. This high-visibility portfolio offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference for our clients and communities across the country! 

Work location: Montreal 2020 Robert Bourassa – Hybrid work (2 days/week in the office). 

What you'll do here:

As a Product Owner (PO) reporting to the Manager of Digital Products – Engagement, your main responsibilities will include: 

1. Define and prioritize innovation initiatives: 

  • Work closely with the design team to research and co-create new innovative initiatives. 

  • Partner with leaders and diverse teams within the organization to enable the assessment, prioritization and execution of initiatives. Lead and facilitate collaboration with internal and external partners. 

  • Develop and maintain a roadmap of initiatives aligned with the company's strategic objectives. 

2. Communicate with Stakeholders: 

  • Prepare impactful presentations and communications for various audiences. 

  • Research, assess, integrate and manage existing and potential app partners.  

  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress. 

  • Manage expectations and resolve priority conflicts among different stakeholders. 

3. Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: 

  • Work closely with legal, marketing, support, and other teams to ensure coherent and successful implementation of new features. 

  • Facilitate launch, training, and post-launch support activities. 

4. Oversee Feature Development: 

  • Support the development team (in Kanban mode) to maximize efficiency and delivered value. 

  • Provide continuous feedback and make adjustments during development to ensure the quality and relevance of deliverables. 

5. Develop Clear and Detailed User Stories: 

  • Write precise user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team. 

  • Ensure the multidisciplinary team’s understanding and alignment on objectives and features to be developed. 

6. Analyze and Measure Initiatives Performance: 

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and various metrics to evaluate the impact of new features. 

  • Use user feedback and analytical data to iterate and improve the initiatives. 

7. Ensure a Long-Term Innovation Vision: 

  • Anticipate future market and customer needs to guide the development of initiatives. 

  • Lead the assessment process for potential new opportunities. 

  • Inspire and motivate the development team by sharing a clear and compelling vision. 

8. Manage Product Documentation: 

  • Maintain up-to-date product documentation, including specifications, user guides, and launch plans. 

  • Ensure effective sharing of product knowledge within the team and with stakeholders. 

What you bring to the table: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management. 

  • Experience in mobile application development. 

  • Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira and Confluence. 

  • Passion for quality and user experience. 

  • Demonstrated ability to take an analytical and strategic approach. 

  • Experience in setting up and managing external partnerships an asset. 

  • Ability to understand basic technical concepts an asset (i.e. reading API documents, Postman, etc.). 

  • Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
