Salary range (but not limited to):

94,200 - 115,200

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join the Lab’s Acquisition team!

As a Business Analyst, you play a key role as an interpreter and facilitator with various business units, the development team, and the quality assurance team. You will be at the heart of a team that plays a pivotal role in optimizing our online sales and constantly strives to deliver the best insurance purchasing experience. At Intact, we rely on the best customer experiences as our uncompromising benchmark.

What you’ll do here:

  • Analyze business needs to define IT solutions.

  • Lead / prepare / participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions.

  • Make impact analysis and effort estimates to advocate, get approval, then document the IT solution using effective methods and interacting with both business users and the IT project team.

  • Support the development of solutions and monitor the velocity of the team.

  • Support test quality assurance activities and user acceptance tests.

  • Support Product Owners in handling their backlogs and prioritize work to be done.

  • Document User Stories effectively so they can be clearly understood by Front End, Back End developers and Quality Assurance.

  • Identify and convey the impacts on Business processes to support change management in Business units via train the trainer documents and procedures.

  • Build a solid, reusable and thorough system documentation to be used by any stakeholders.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

  • Project experiences in Scrum mode

  • Experience and knowledge in the insurance field, an asset

  • Experience and knowledge of applications in a web

  • Mastery of JIRA, Confluence & DNG

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
