About the role
Who we are ?
At Intact, insurance is about people. It shapes everything we do. As Canada’s largest provider of property and casualty insurance, we’re not only leading our industry, we’re redefining what it means to work in it. We create an inspiring workplace where people bring their best because they know their work matters.
The role
We’re looking for a Bilingual Senior Growth and Innovation Strategist to lead cross-functional, net-new growth initiatives that sit outside existing channel roadmaps (paid media, SEO, CRO, CRM/email, etc.). Your mission is to build a Growth Innovation Roadmap from scratch, identify and validate new growth vectors (e.g., cashback programs, contests, referrals, partnerships, new channels, new marketing technologies), drive synergy across teams and business units, and turn hypotheses into measurable outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, growth R&D, product marketing, and program orchestration. It requires strong influence, disciplined experimentation, and exceptional cross-functional leadership across Marketing and beyond (Legal, Operations, Actuarial, IT, Data).
What you’ll do here:
Own the Growth Innovation Roadmap
- Map ‘’white-space’’ opportunities beyond current streams; prioritize using frameworks (ICE/RICE), align to business objectives.
- Structure a portfolio of experiments - from zero (pilots, POCs) to scaled deployment (always-on).
Design, test, and scale new initiatives
- Acquisition and activation programs: cashback, contests, referrals, partner offers, cross-sell, new funnels.
- Partnerships and ecosystems: identify targets, conduct due diligence, coordinate with Legal/Compliance, define KPIs, and execute.
- New marketing technologies and products: evaluate martech/adtech solutions; collaborate with IT/Data to build the business case.
- New channels and audiences: pilot emerging channels, non-traditional placements, and co-marketing initiatives.
Cross-functional orchestration and governance
- Collaborate closely with Paid, SEO, CRO, Email, Analytics, Lab, IT, Actuarial, Operations, and Legal/Compliance to scope, de-risk, and launch initiatives.
- Establish operating models and rituals (kickoffs, steering committees), RACI, and scale-up playbooks.
- Drive executive alignment, effective stakeholder communications, and change management.
Experimentation rigor and measurement
- Define hypotheses, experiment designs, success criteria, sampling plans, and test types (A/B, experiments).
- Track the portfolio KPIs across the funnel (acquisition, awareness, consideration, retention, LTV, profitability).
- Implement feedback loops, post-mortems, and a knowledge base.
Create synergies and integrate with existing streams
- Connect cross-functional initiatives to Paid/SEO/CRO/CRM roadmaps to amplify impact (e.g., tailored LP, audiences, creatives, UX flows).
- Define clear handoffs and criteria to transition pilots into BAU ownership with the right teams.
Optimize growth operations
- Develop and improve processes, automation, and tooling (briefs, intakes, templates, compliance checklists).
- Foster a responsible, data-driven, impact-oriented innovation culture.
Desired profile:
- Builder/entrepreneurial mindset: autonomous, creative, solution-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Influential communication with executives and diverse stakeholders; ability to simplify complexity and create alignment.
- Holistic, systems-level view of growth to identify cross-team synergies and unlock new levers.
- Execution rigor: turn ideas into measurable results with a steady cadence of tests and learnings.
- Change leadership: challenge the status quo, manage risk intelligently, and turn pilots into durable levers.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, economics and/or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is an asset.
- 6–10 years of experience in a growth-related role, product marketing, innovation and/or digital strategy.
- Proven experience launching and scaling initiatives in multi-brand/multi-product environments.
- Strong skills leading cross-functional programs spanning Marketing, IT/Data, and corporate functions (Legal, Actuarial, Operations).
- Mastery of structured experimentation processes and impact measurement (A/B testing, basic causal methods concepts, business cases).
- Strong program management and prioritization skills (ICE/RICE, business cases, ROI/LTV).
- Strong command of growth analytics and metrics: GA4/Adobe, BI tools (Looker/Tableau/Power BI); understanding of attribution/MMM is a plus.
- Knowledge of MarTech/AdTech stacks and comfort working with IT and data engineering.
- Partnerships and negotiation: scoping, contracting with Legal/Compliance, and risk management.
- Bilingualism (French and English) – required to interact regularly with colleagues and external partners across the country.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services/insurance, combined with familiarity with promotional programs (cashback, referrals), contests, and compliance, is considered an asset.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
