About the role

Are you an experienced Multi-Line Claims Adjuster ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team, and we want someone who knows the Grande Prairie community. This role requires you to be located in Grande Prairie or its surrounding areas.

About the Role: You’ll be at the forefront of assisting a diverse range of customers who’ve experienced losses to their personal or commercial property, equipment, businesses, and more. Guiding them empathetically through the claims process, you'll collaborate with vendors, contractors, appraisers, and other experts. Your empathy, strong listening skills, business acumen, and organizational effectiveness will be crucial in managing a variety of commercial claims to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze information, interpret insurance policies, determine coverage, and assess damages.
  • Develop comprehensive action plans for claims.
  • Manage financial aspects, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt settlements aligned with Intact's policies.
  • Communicate clear and concise directions to vendors.
  • Collaborate with experts such as appraisers and engineers to drive claims forward.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both external and internal clients.
  • Keep up-to-date with Intact’s insurance products and services.

Requirements:

  • Location Requirement: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Grande Prairie or surrounding areas.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Insurance Industry or a related field (such as Property Management, Restoration & Building Construction, Property or Equipment Appraisal, Loss Prevention, Corporate Finance, or Legal & Regulatory).
  • A passion for learning and career growth in the insurance industry.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-motivation and capability to excel in a dynamic setting.
  • Forward-thinking and innovative mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and results-driven attitude.
  • Proficient negotiation and conflict management skills.
