Salary range (but not limited to):

54,900 - 67,100

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

Are you an experienced professional who operates with a high level of initiative, accuracy with attention to detail seeking new opportunities?

As a Senior Accounting Service Representative, you will repot directly to the Manager, Finance Operational Banking and will be a subject matter expert within the banking operations team. You lead by example and act as the first point of contact on escalation for complex operational issues and investigations, ensuring timely resolution and communication. As a subject matter expert, you will support the team on various cash projects, offering specialized support and insights.

What you’ll do here:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inquiries and issues.

  • Prepare journal entries and support month-end closing through investigation and documentation.

  • Create clear and concise reports and presentations for stakeholders.

  • Handle bank and merchant-related documentation and manage bank portal access.

  • Serve as a cash project expert, providing specialized support.

  • Identify and support process improvement opportunities.

  • Develop annual work plans for process documentation updates.

  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.

  • Support operational improvements and workflow enhancements.

  • Assist with onboarding and training and promote knowledge-sharing.

  • Monitor operational issues to recommend efficiency and accuracy improvements.

  • Support the Manager in ensuring operational continuity and service excellence.

  • Assist with internal and external audits.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Finance and Accounting post-secondary education and 3+ years in general accounting - is required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - is required.

  • Experience in training and developing team members.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities with precise attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a customer-focused approach.

  • Knowledge of banking products and services.

  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills for managing complex issues.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
