Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Salary range (but not limited to):

57,000 - 71,200

We are looking for interns to join our specialized security teams. Depending on your team assignment, here’s what you’ll do here: 

Cyber Defense 

  • Build signal-rich detections: parse custom logs, craft/refine use cases, and write KQL to surface threats with fewer false positives. 

  • Integrate and validate data: connect sources to SIEM/UEBA, ensure correct parsing/mapping, and automate checks to keep pipelines reliable. 

  • Keep operations tight: run daily health checks, support deployments, and improve runbooks/documentation for repeatable workflows. 

  • Enhance the platform: partner with engineers to measure detection quality and ship small improvements that streamline detection engineering. 

  • Technical Skills required: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Linux, GitHub, Ability to search and analyze different logs to identify trends or issues. 

  • Nice to Have: Interest in cloud security (Azure, Sentinel, LogicApp, Function App, Data Collection Rules), interest with Logstash, Kafka, and/or Rsyslog, interest to explore CI/CD pipelines and Terraform to manage infrastructure as code 

 

Cyber Governance, Risk, and Compliance  

  • Intake and triage GRC requests: route tickets, track status, and align priorities with the Scrum Master/Product Owner. 

  • Maintain the risk picture: update the risk register, support exceptions and third‑party assessments, and keep baseline docs/SOPs organized. 

  • Turn data into insight: partner with the Business Analyst to produce cybersecurity KPIs, simple dashboards, and concise stakeholder summaries. 

  • Strengthen operations: document/test GRC and risk tools, support control reviews and follow‑ups, and contribute to awareness, training, compliance, and control testing. 

  • Technical Skills required: Excel, Jira, Confluence, familiarity with ticketing platforms (ServiceNow) 

  • Nice to Have: PowerBi, Knowledge in GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) concepts, basic knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) 

 

What you bring to the table: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (or Master’s, if applicable) degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering  

  • Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Summer 2026 Term (May to August)    

  • Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school in Fall 2026 following your internship    

  • Past internship experience in security is considered an asset  

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Ability and desire to learn/adapt quickly to a changing environment
