About the role
We are seeking an Accounting Service Representative to join our team that shares the vision to be a proactive, reliable and agile partner helping Claims achieve their objectives.
What you’ll do here:
Manage payment inquiries and investigate to resolve problematic situations.
Coordinate and request intercompany fund transfers to support bank account reconciliations.
Prepare and distribute the necessary weekly financial reports to update claims records.
Coordinate the national structured settlement process with the relevant departments.
Support the review of reference materials related to financial operations to improve departmental knowledge and practices.
Respond to requests for bank details confirmation.
Provide various administrative support such as scanning, printing, organizing documents, as well as reviewing and following up on returned cheques.
Share process improvement opportunities with management.
What you bring to the table:
College Diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
At least 1 year experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power BI, etc.).
Efficiency and attention to detail.
Proactive, desire to learn and understand, and a strong interest in teamwork.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French, and the ability to establish good working relationships.
Knowledge of the insurance field is an asset.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
