About the role
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Regional Manager, Municipal & Public Administration to join our growing team! The successful candidate will be responsible for Public Entity sales and service within the Southwestern Ontario Region. They will service a defined territory of various complex risks including Municipal, CAS (Children's Aid Society) and Not for Profit accounts. This individual will plan sales and business development activities with clients, prospects, insurance brokers and other industry professionals. This position requires a motivated individual who works well on their own as well as in a team environment. You will be responsible to manage a portfolio which includes a variety of industry specific policies, claims and risk management challenges. They will attend and actively participate in industry meetings, seminars and conferences.

Good management of the pressure to achieve objectives.
Very good knowledge of Municipal & Non-Profit organizations and classes of business.
Very good knowledge of commercial insurance policies and products.
Good knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Availability to attend various activities (conferences, conventions, Municipal functions etc.) outside of normal business hours.
Valid G class driver's license with good driving record.
Demonstrate a high level of autonomy, organization and proactivity.
Strive for excellence and be inspired by the client.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Willingness and ability to travel is essential in this position along with the ability to work from a home office.
Technical Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years sales experience in Insurance industry with Municipalities and Non-Profit classes of business
RIBO license or ability to obtain it upon starting in this role
Ability to build, develop and foster relationships with the stakeholders and customers
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent presentation skills
Strong analytical and judgment skills required
Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently
CIP designation (or working towards designation) would be an asset
Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation
