About the role

We're seeking a seasoned Practice Lead to oversee and elevate the Product Design practice at Intact Lab.

This opportunity invites a veteran Designer to leverage and scale their expertise across multiple teams, helping create an environment where Design practitioners can produce their best work.

From enhancing cross-functional workflows to spearheading training paths to nurturing a vibrant culture, your contributions and thought leadership will establish Intact Lab as the premier destination for talented Design specialists.

What you'll do here:

  • Establish and standardize best practices and methodologies across Design teams.

  • Map and optimize flow of work to increase autonomy, performance and velocity.

  • Assess, pilot and integrate AI tools to facilitate work tasks and transform processes.

  • Partner with Dev, Product and Data to define cross-functional operating models.

  • Establish and nurture our community of practice and mentor colleagues.

  • Facilitate shared rituals, design reviews and feedback sessions.

  • Curate training curriculum and practice-specific onboarding material.

  • Administer Design software and ensure staff are leveraging tools to their full potential.

  • Standardize UX, UI and Product Design roles and nomenclature.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience in Design (Product, UX/UI).

  • Prior work in large enterprises.

  • Expert coach with a track record of leveling up Design teams.

  • Track record of establishing Design playbooks and Design maturity models.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and bring about change.

  • Ability to develop compelling presentations that secure buy-in and inspire stakeholders.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. 

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
