Salary range (but not limited to):
118,700 - 145,100Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager who will report to the Director, Tax Controversy and Disputes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate income tax, dispute resolution, and will be adept at navigating CRA frameworks to achieve favorable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with various teams across the business to help drive forward and resolve tax controversy issues
Oversee and strategize in tax dispute files through the lifespan of the dispute
Provide representations to and negotiate with tax authorities
Maintain strong internal and external client relationships, demystify complex issues and ensure timely reporting.
Partner with other members of the tax team handling various tax matters including transfer pricing, international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and tax compliance
Liaise with tax advisors in handling complex tax disputes and determining strategy
Identify tax issues; research and analyze complicated situations quickly and develop practical solutions in an efficient and timely manner
Remain informed on all new jurisprudence and decisions issued by courts in matters of taxation law, as well as new approaches and directives taken by the taxation authorities
Network in the tax and insurance community to keep abreast of trending tax authority concerns
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years of post CPA/In-depth tax course experience – is required.
Minimum 2 years of tax audit experience in Financial Institutions and in a multinational organization.
Corporate income tax knowledge in the context of financial reporting and provisions - is required.
Knowledge of international tax matters in the context of a Canadian based global multinational is an asset.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
