Salary range (but not limited to):
109,900 - 134,300Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

The Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of Surety Underwriting Assistants to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, managing team performance, and fostering a collaborative environment to optimize processes and meet business objectives.
What you will do:
Provide leadership, processing guidance and oversight to the Surety Underwriting Assistants (UA) team, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering professional growth and skill development.
Manage team performance by conducting performance reviews and career developing discussions.
Lead continuous improvement of operational workflows to enhance service and effectiveness.
Manage and oversee key projects, particularly those related to Surety IT initiatives, ensuring timely execution and successful outcomes.
Analyze performance data and metrics to make informed decisions and recommendations for process improvements.
Facilitate open communication channels within the team and across departments to ensure cohesive operations.
Manage key relationships with our critical partners in Distribution located across the country.
What you bring:
University degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within the insurance or financial industry.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in presenting to and engaging with various audiences.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities, attention to detail and decision making.
Experience with process improvement methodologies and tools.
No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada
