Salary range (but not limited to):

118,700 - 145,100

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

15%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are currently looking for a manager who will oversee all activities and deliverables for various Finance and Business projects within the Finance ecosystems. The Manager Finance Transformation & Systems plays a critical role in each project by coordinating the various Business stakeholders and collaborating closely with the technology teams to ensure project success.  The person will be responsible for the business requirements, functional design, testing and overall project delivery for all projects assigned to them.

The ideal candidate will be solution minded, possess strong leadership skills, be innovative, agile with a strong sense of teamwork/collaboration. You will work closely and report to the Director - Finance Transformation & Systems.

 

What you’ll do here:

  • Lead and manage the team, leveraging each member’s strengths.

  • Train, coach, and mentor individuals and teams; provide the support they need to excel.

  • Identify and develop talent; apply strong performance management and enhance employee engagement.

  • Manage Agile projects aligned with business strategies, priorities, and issues.

  • Propose solutions that leverage capabilities and deliver business value.

  • Define project scope and objectives with business sponsors; manage sponsor and stakeholder expectations.

  • Provide project leadership and vision; formalize processes, procedures, and quality controls.

  • Develop and manage resource plans, dependencies, timelines, and scope to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Plan, monitor, and manage internal projects from initiation through completion.

  • Influence and negotiate to gain support and reach consensus.

  • Identify and assess risks; implement mitigation strategies and assess severity and impact.

  • Report overall project status (progress, metrics, issues) and monitor implementation and transition risks, recommending solutions.

  • Support organizational change management for assigned projects and beyond.

 

What you bring to the table:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA designation

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing end-to-end projects, with strong knowledge of finance systems/processes

  • Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience managing direct reports

  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance

  • Solid understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, and project management

  • Proficiency with Visio, Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel), and SharePoint

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Assets

  • Bachelor’s in information technology, a Master’s degree, and/or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP)

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Familiarity with Jira dashboards for reporting

  • Demonstrated ability to drive team performance, foster a positive work environment, and challenge the status quo with process improvements

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Proficiency in English is required; fluency in French is a plus.​
