This role will oversee strategic global platform visions, roadmaps, standards, governance as well as vendor relationships management to ensure our enterprise Data and AI capabilities are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with business priorities.

You’re a leadership-driven builder who energizes high-performing teams and mentors developers to reach their full potential. You thrive on engaging talent, setting a clear vision, and turning strategy into measurable outcomes. As Manager of the EDP Center of Excellence, you’ll lead the roadmap for enterprise Data & AI platforms, champion best-in-class governance and security, and elevate DevOps, DataOps, and FinOps practices. You’ll foster Communities of Practice, cultivate accountability, and create an environment where autonomy and excellence flourish. If you’re passionate about coaching, empowering squads, and delivering scalable, reliable solutions that move the business forward, this is the stage for your leadership.

What you’ll do here:

  • Lead and cultivate a high-performing platform engineering team, focusing on talent acquisition, engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Own the evolution, maintenance, and support of Data & AI platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, SageMaker, Bedrock, Vertex AI), ensuring reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce platform security and governance standards, partnering with InfoSec, Risk, and Data Governance to ensure compliant and auditable operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a multi-year roadmap for platform evolution, aligning capabilities with enterprise data strategy and business needs.
  • Maintain structured cadences with platform vendors, tracking SLAs, product updates, feature adoption, and contract optimization.
  • Continuously advance engineering and platform practices, including IaC, DevOps, DataOps, and FinOps, to improve reliability and velocity.
  • Implement and refine tools and processes that boost team autonomy and efficiency, providing necessary training and coaching.
  • Balance project portfolio and resource development through intelligent planning and prioritization across squads and chapters.
  • Coordinate activities and dependencies across data product teams, analytics, and application squads; manage risks, propose mitigation measures, and communicate platform KPIs.
  • Ensure platform solutions and patterns meet client expectations and comply with security, privacy, and governance standards, while optimizing infrastructure requirements and costs.
  • Promote Communities of Practice; foster an environment that supports a productive team collaboration and development.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the data platform domain; challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement and transformation.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (Mathematics, Actuarial, Data).
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in data/AI platform engineering, DevSecOps or software development, with 3–5 years in people leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, coaching, and retaining high-performing technical teams.
  • Proven experience with team operating enterprise Data & AI platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, SageMaker, Bedrock, Vertex AI), including governance and security integration.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including cost management (FinOps), networking, identity, and data security best practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and compliance frameworks; experience partnering with Data Governance and InfoSec teams.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party professional services, including contracts, SLAs, and delivery oversight.
  • Strong program and project management skills; able to deliver on time and within budget, communicate KPIs, and manage risks and dependencies.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps/IaC/DataOps practices and tooling; understanding of MLOps concepts and how platform capabilities support model lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to align technical roadmaps with business priorities across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Team player who fosters collaboration, creativity, and an open, honest environment; passionate about talent development and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in evolving, complex environments; motivated to question the status quo and drive change.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
