About the role
Are you a dynamic and skilled professional ready to tackle an exciting new challenge? Our Long-Haul Trucking Claims team is looking for a Long-Haul Trucking Claims Adjuster! to jump in and make an impact!
Based in either Calgary or Edmonton, this permanent position offers the chance to play a crucial role in ensuring prompt and fair settlements for physical damage and cargo claims across Canada and the US. If this sounds like your kind of opportunity, we can’t wait to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
- Dive into both routine and complex claims, analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage and assess fair entitlements.
- Engage in timely and respectful communication with customers, brokers, claimants, lawyers, and other insurers to effectively resolve claims.
- Spearhead investigations and settlements of cargo and environmental losses, while managing cases that span across Canada and the US.
- Collaborate with our Bodily Injury team on significant losses to mitigate exposure and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
What You Bring:
- A college diploma or university degree is a bonus.
- CIP designation achieved or on the way.
- At least 2 years of experience adjusting commercial auto claims; Long Haul Trucking experience is a plus.
- Expertise in handling moderate to complex claims and practicing effective negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills paired with decision-making prowess and excellent time management.
- Knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance; Atlantic Provincial Licenses are advantageous.
- A warm, positive attitude complemented by top-notch customer service skills.
