About the role
Are you passionate about inspiring and supporting leaders and individual contributors growth by providing impactful learning and development solutions tailored to our organizational needs? We are looking for a Learning & Development Strategist (Senior Consultant level) to join our passionate National Learning and Development team (specialized in leadership & soft skills development) and help us in our journey to provide innovative solutions and meaningful learning experiences that support organizational growth and outperformance.
As a Learning & Development Strategist, you will champion the alignment of our programs & trainings to business objectives, ensuring our people have the training needed to meet performance goals, exceed client expectations and drive long-term success in a dynamic insurance environment. You will create partnerships with business unit leaders, L&D & HR teams, analyzing available data on an ongoing basis and elaborating strategies to maximize our impact on the organization.

You will have a one of a kind opportunity to develop your understanding of our business and support the development of our 20+K individual contributors and leaders within the organization.
The successful candidate will report to our Manager, Learning & Development and can be based at the Vancouver Intact offices.
What you’ll do here:
Create partnerships with business unit leaders, L&D & HR teams, analyzing available data on an ongoing basis & champion the alignment of our programs & trainings to the needs of the business.
Lead taskforces to plan, deploy and measure refreshments to our existing offering, engaging and collaborating with the key stakeholders (design, facilitator, coordinators, leaders, business SMEs, etc.).
Support the Management team in enhancing our practices (ex. learning goals tailored to business needs, measures of success, communication, project & change management, innovation).
Collaborates on cross-functional/high complexity initiatives to support the evolving needs of the organization.
Map & analyze our organization programs/journeys, identifying critical gaps and building business cases to meet the emerging needs.
Optimize and enhance the visibility of our L&D offering to our individual contributors and leaders.
Analyze training requests from the BUs and propose solutions to meet their needs when in scope. Assess capacity, engage and collaborate with key collaborators as needed.

Strong accountability, adaptability, problem-solving skills.
Leadership, communication (incl. executive communication) and analytical skills.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills along with a proven ability to build relationships.
Bachelor's degree in Administration, HR or a related discipline or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience (i.e. L&D, HR business partnership, leadership/project management with a strength in stakeholders management).
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (English/French) is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
For candidates in other provinces, bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset considering the need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:
$75,800.00 - $113,600.00What we offer
