About the role

The IT Incident Prevention Analyst is responsible for maintaining the stability and security of the company's IT infrastructure by identifying potential threats and implementing proactive measures to prevent incidents before they occur. This role demands a high level of technical expertise and strategic thinking to ensure seamless and reliable IT operations.

What you'll do here: 

  • 24/7 availability on rotation to respond to and resolve incidents affecting IT availability promptly.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to understand the dependencies and critical components of IT services.

  • Analyze system performance data and reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Work closely with support teams to investigate and mitigate the root causes of service disruptions.

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to IT availability, including configuration details, monitoring processes, and incident response procedures.

  • Identify and assess risks to IT availability and develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.

  • Work closely with other IT teams, including network, security, and system administration, to ensure a holistic approach to availability management.

  • Collaborate with vendors to address issues related to third-party services impacting IT availability.

  • Regularly review and update availability management processes and procedures to incorporate industry best practices.

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in IT availability management or a related role.

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Certifications such as ITIL, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) may be beneficial.

  • Bilingual (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country. 

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
