Salary range (but not limited to):

118,700 - 145,100

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

15%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our growing Lab team!

What you'll do here: 

  • Lead, plan, and deliver small to large-scale projects and programs with high complexity and strategic scope, involving multiple departments.

  • Manage one or more projects in parallel, adapting the approach based on each project's level of complexity.

  • Define project scope (inclusions, exclusions, priorities), objectives, high-level timelines, and budgets.

  • Ensure cost management, budget tracking, and financial estimates.

  • Lead change management and associated priorities.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners (POs), Architects, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategy and execution.

  • Direct all IT project management activities: resource needs, budget, risks, audits, performance, security, and PMO requirements.

  • Create, maintain, and monitor a risk register, and implement measures to minimize risks.

  • Manage risks and dependencies, escalate issues, and remove obstacles.

  • Ensure rigorous time management throughout the project.

  • Plan, maintain, and adjust schedules.

  • Work with Architects, managers, and Product Owners (POs) to define capacity and resource allocation for technical initiatives and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate and manage external partners (vendors, consultants, etc.), including RFI and RFP processes, in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.

  • Manage governance forums and key communications: executive committees, steering committees, and other stakeholders.

  • Synthesize the team’s overall planning and support decision-making on specific situations (issues, contingencies, alignment).

  • Act as a leader and mentor for teams.

  • Improve and optimize team efficiency using indicators, dashboards, and metrics.

  • Track deployment execution and produce associated metrics.

  • Support conflict resolution and encourage collaboration.

  • Guide teams in problem identification and decision-making.

  • Ensure value creation by the teams.

  • Provide feedback to line managers on team members’ performance.

  • Guarantee the quality of deliverables, in line with architecture, scope, timelines, and budget.

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or any combination of education and equivalent experience.

  • PMP certification (an asset)

  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with web/mobile applications.

  • Experience in Agile project delivery.

  • Experience in contract negotiation with the procurement sector.

  • Experience working with project management tools (Clarity, MS Project, others).

  • Experience working in a virtual environment.

  • Experience in matrix resource management.

  • Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact regularly with colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
