About the role
We’re looking for a Facilities Technician II to join our growing team!
This role is a permanent opportunity that would require the successful candidate to be on-site five (5) days a week at our Intact Ajax office location.
What you’ll do here:
Ensure adequate customer service to internal and external customers in terms of material resources, coordinating requests, analyzing and responding to customer needs in compliance with current standards and procedures.
On-site access support, preparing access cards, taking photos, registering and confirming required access.
Work in synergy with building representatives and other colleagues to ensure site security and compliance with established rules.
Provide on-site support for staff relocation arrangements.
Help plan the organization of rooms and spaces in the building according to requests received. Participate in and assist with relocation and layout requests.
Carry out preventive maintenance of installations and repairs required for the smooth running of the site.
Communicate with building representatives regarding maintenance and respond to maintenance requests. Detect anomalies to take preventive action.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized work or equipment servicing.
Lead inspections, diagnostics and repairs
Carry out various administrative and job-related tasks in accordance with the guidelines in force and required for this position.
Make minor changes in the physical layout of workstations.
Plans and occasionally transports materials between buildings.
Maintain inventory of tools, parts and supplies
File documents according to the established classification system to facilitate access at the appropriate time.
Complete reports, produce notices, letters and other required documents.
Have experience working in general repairs
Reception back up for breaks
Perform other related tasks as required.
What you will bring to the table:
College diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experience
At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of commonly used software including Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer
Experience in supervising the execution of development work
Excellent customer service
Demonstrate autonomy, initiative and resourcefulness
Good organizational skills
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good team spirit
Can work under pressure and with short delivery times
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Can work with manual labor
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required
Respond to after hours emergencies as part of the on-call
May be required to work after hours for special projects
Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset
Role requires you to be on site 5 days a week
