Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Salary range (but not limited to):

43,600 - 53,200

We are looking for interns for the below Summer Student Opportunities. Depending on your team assignment, here is a glimpse of what you will do here (in addition to other administrative duties, as assigned):

Accounting Services

  • Manage and reconcile payments, bank deposits, and account discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and records.  

  • Prepare, compile, and dispatch various financial documents, including invoices, statements, reports, and cheques, while handling broker billing statements and payments.  

  • Review and resolve cash reports, adjust journal entries, process cheque requisitions, and manage banking information, payment schedules, and premium refunds. 

 

Underwriting (Commercial/Personal Lines)

  • Support the underwriting team by processing and amending new business, endorsements, renewals and cancellations within established authority level in accordance with company policies and procedures. 

  • Refer risks to underwriters based on complexity and authority level. 

 

Administrative Support

  • Perform various recurring administrative tasks such as shipping of documents, equipment or correspondence, entering data, scanning or filing, requisitioning equipment or supplies, setting up workstations, etc.  

  • Manage correspondence and ensure the quality and accuracy of information.     

  • Transcribe data from documents or databases using standardized practices. 

  • Beyond daily tasks, this role includes mentorship, shadowing, and real business exposure to help build skills that last past the summer. 

  • Note: This position requires an in-office presence five days a week. 

 

Claims

  • Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.  

  • Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.  

  • Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.  

  • Process payments on claim files and input data to support new claims intake and handling. 

  • Note: This position requires an in-office presence four days a week. 

 

What you bring to the table: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree/college diploma in Business, Commerce, or anything related 

  • Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Summer 2026 Term (May to August) 

  • Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school in next Fall 2026 following your internship 

  • You are passionate about insurance and continuing education  

  • You are motivated and driven to succeed. 

  • You have a strong customer focus and create a positive client experience.  

  • You are resilient and have the ability to adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.  

  • Your team is important to you contribute to your team’s success by exceeding targets and being an active team player.
