About the role
We’re looking for a Photolink Appraiser to join our growing team! This role can be based in either Calgary or Edmonton.
What you'll do here:
Determine the causes and origin of damage during an accident by utilizing a software application. Claims handled will vary in complexity based on experience.
Collaborate with claims adjusters by comparing your assessment of vehicle damage with repair estimates.
Occasionally determine the market value of vehicles using data from claims adjusters and tools outlined in our appraisers' standards and procedures manual.
Use digital automated evaluation systems to ensure consistency and minimize errors.
Communicate and negotiate best repair practices and procedures.
Adhere to appraisers' standards and procedures manual, ensuring performance aligns with the Claims Department's quantitative and qualitative objectives.
What you bring to the table:
At least 4 years of auto body repair experience, including proficiency with estimating software like Audatex and Mitchell, or an equivalent combination of related post-secondary education and experience.
Comprehensive understanding of automobile physical damage repair and replacement techniques.
Ability to effectively navigate various systems.
Strong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Effective verbal and written communication capabilities, including the ability to draft detailed claims reports.
Dedication to ongoing learning and development.
Strong commitment to being customer-driven.
