About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Director, Financial Operations to lead our Accounts Payable function, business travel oversight, the development of sustainable business travel practices and the corporate credit card management.

The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient financial processes, compliance, and strategic improvements across these key areas.

What you'll do here:

  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Oversee the accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payments.
    • Implement and manage robust internal controls to prevent errors and mitigate the risks of fraud.
    • Drive the efficient use of technology and foster an environment of continuous improvement in operational, financial, and internal control processes.
  • Business Travel Oversight and Corporate Card Management:
    • Oversee business travel to ensure that travel is conducted in a safe, cost-effective, and sustainable manner.
    • Analyze travel expenditures and trends to identify opportunities for optimizing travel practices.
    • Promote and enforce sustainable business travel initiatives.
    • Establish policies and procedures for efficient use of corporate credit cards, analyze credit card transactions for compliance, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

What you bring to the table:

  • CPA designation.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in financial operations with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong focus on financial controls.
  • Sense of urgency, responsiveness, and accountability.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Collaborative with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate a team to achieve high performance.
  • Bilingualism required (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
