Salary range (but not limited to):

149,600 - 182,800

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We’re looking for a Director, Facilities Management to join our growing national team!

Now more than ever, you and your team will play an instrumental role in making sure our workplaces are environments where our people feel safe, included, connected, and inspired to be and do their best.

What you’ll do here:

  • Direct and oversee facilities management for 20+ Canadian sites which range in scope/size/complexity, ensuring compliance with health, safety, security standards and business continuity planning.

  • Manage relationships with property managers, landlords, and key suppliers.

  • Own facilities cost centres; build and manage property-level budgets, reporting, and ESG disclosures.

  • Align the real estate portfolio with enterprise strategy.

  • Lead and develop a team of 5+ managers and 75+ indirect reports across Canada; set vision, communicate expectations, and drive engagement.

  • Partner with Intact’s leadership to plan and execute strategic initiatives; forecast trends, monitor results, and implement corrective actions.

  • Identify and implement process improvements, including building access governance and procedural enhancements.

  • Inspire, mentor, and grow talent; establish career paths, develop emerging leaders, and guide goal setting and performance.


What you bring to the table:

  • Must be able to travel nationally up to 25%, including consecutive days, as required.

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or related field (required).

  • 10+ years in facilities and budget management within a large, publicly traded organization (required).

  • 5+ years leading high-performing teams, including people managers across multiple regions (required).

  • Proven track record managing vendor and landlord relationships to drive performance and value.

  • Demonstrated success overseeing multi-site office operations at national scale.

  • Strong end-to-end project leadership across complex, large-scale initiatives.

  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Innovative, data-informed decision maker; stays current on emerging facility management and offices space trends.

  • Skilled in change management with clear and effective communication in English. French will be considered an asset.

  • Operates with urgency; adapts quickly to evolving or ambiguous situations.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues’ stakeholders & leadership across the country.
