About the role
We are looking for a Director for the creation of the Change management team supporting, Technology, Lab, Corporate Commercial Lines & Personal Lines Business Units!
Do you have a solutions-oriented mindset and are passionate about change management? We have an exciting opportunity to lead our new Change Management team!
The team will be accountable to promote, implement and monitor best practices and significant change initiatives by providing training, tools, support and coaching to the relevant business sector. We aim to provide an integrated overview of all initiatives while highlighting changes and impacts on stakeholders in an interactive manner.
The Director, in collaboration with different stakeholders, will define and implement change management strategies and tactics associated with the implementation of transformation initiatives or projects. Active member of our transformation journey, you will play an important role in implementing the change management plan throughout all phases.
What you’ll do here:
Inspire and effectively manage a team of professionals. Contribute to the development of your team's skills.
Contribute to our strategic projects with your team members. Ensure the evolution of change management practices and tools.
Inspire your team to strive for excellence and maintain a high level of engagement.
Collaborate with management teams and various business partners.
Work with your team and the business to prepare and coordinate the change management plan and strategy.
Inform and equip the various stakeholders to share the business vision and change objectives.
Liaise with key people in other sectors affected by the changes made.
Work collaboratively with the business, human resources, communications and project management team.
What you bring to the table:
For all candidates across Canada (Québec and Ontario): Bilingualism (French / English) is required considering the need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
University degree in business administration, human resources or another relevant discipline.
Certification in change management, an asset (E.g., Prosci).
5 to 8 years of experience managing teams. At least 8 to 10 years of experience in change management.
Experience in the environment of information technology, an asset.
Project management experience.
Leadership, experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others (even remotely), with an ability to instill trust, motivate and empower people towards a course of action and build team spirit.
Teamwork and collaboration – an inclusive, influential, and inspiring leadership style that engages others and rallies them around a common goal.
Strong cross-functional projects management skills, flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment to work with others in a professional and effective way.
Experience in implementing large and complex projects.
Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration and influencing skills.
Ability to deal with ambiguity. Strategic thinking and a desire to challenge the status quo. Motivated by challenges.
Ability to create a vision and turn it into action. Excellent team spirit and initiative.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
