About the role

The Intact Lab is looking for a Manager, Product – AI to lead a talented team of Product practitioners who are responsible for embedding AI throughout our operations. Alongside Design, Data Science and Engineering colleagues, this Manager will oversee the 0-to-1 product management of tools that enable our AI-augmented workforce, ensuring we offer a second-to-none insurance experience to millions of Canadian customers.

 

What you'll do here:

As the Manager, Product – AI, you play a mission critical role in defining and accomplishing our AI roadmap. Reporting to the Director, Product and Design – Enterprise, your main responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with partners across the company to develop our AI vision, identify and prioritize use cases, and implement solutions.

  • Lead, coach and inspire a multidisciplinary team of Product Owners and Business Analysts.

  • Collaborate with other management members to implement strategies, set goals and performance indicators, coordinate deliverables and sequence dependencies.

  • Detail the product roadmap with your team to bring new value to users, increase digital adoption, improve efficiency, and user satisfaction.

  • Responsible for projecting, measuring and reporting business value of all team initiatives. Follow success of implementation and support improvement of future iterations.

  • Understand business needs and opportunities, translating them into impactful strategies.

  • Promote the benefits of AI products to internal stakeholders and business partners.

  • Participate in setting priorities for the team, planning appropriate objectives and operational efficiencies to meet or exceed the goals set by senior executives.

  • Conduct recruitment and mentoring initiatives, one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and individual career development planning

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, e-commerce, product management, digital creation or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with more than 3 years in product management.

  • At least 3 years of experience in managing professionals.

  • Proven experience in digital product management, particularly in AI or insurance industry.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between business, data science, and engineering teams by simplifying complex AI concepts into clear product direction and measurable outcomes.

  • Proven track record of aligning stakeholders around a shared vision to drive adoption and value realization.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing and engaged teams.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable plans.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of analytics to drive product decisions.

  • Passion for innovation and a relentless drive for excellence.

  • Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (French and English) is required: Need to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
