About the role

We are looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented individual to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Finance Transformation and Systems team. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation team, ensuring successful delivery and long-term impact of finance projects.

What you'll do here:

  • Lead the PMO function, embedding the established governance procedures

  • Driving out the use of JIRA and associated processes to ensure transparency and governance over project delivery

  • Portfolio management to track project progress, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and escalating risks where necessary.

  • Request and review reports and project documentation from leads and project managers.

  • Manage stakeholder communication and reporting at both programme and project levels, ensuring transparency and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Align projects with overall business objectives, identifying opportunities for additional business development and strategic alignment.

  • Championing continuous improvement, lessons learned, and operational efficiency across the portfolio

  • Resource and capacity management of internal and external resources

  • Manage project budgets and forecasts for the Finance Transformation and Systems team

  • Manage interdepartmental project visibility

  • Management of vendor alignment to delivery methodology

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 8 years expertise in portfolio management, resource management, and risk mitigation – is required

  • Minimum 5 years experience leading and managing direct reports – is required

  • PMP designation

  • Experience managing JIRA – is required

  • Experience managing large project budgeting and forecasting – is required

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and workstream leads in a complex finance and technology environment

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive achieving strategic objectives

  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on delivering results under tight timeframes

  • Experience communicating KPIs, roadmaps & priority planning to upper management

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
