Salary range (but not limited to):
149,600 - 182,800Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
As a manager on National Projects Climate team in Personal Lines, your work will have a big impact on our corporate PL strategic initiatives. This is a key opportunity in the PL management team, with a focus to profitably capitalise on the largest portfolio within IFC. People will count on you to oversee the future proofing of our Personal Property portfolio against climate trends while enhancing our customers value proposition through increased prevention offer. This means executing on the delivery of key projects while ensuring the quality of deliverables affecting the corporate underwriting & rating components. Supervise the analysis and research to achieve business targets. Analyze trends and recommend creative changes in rates, products, underwriting practice, and procedures. Take responsibility and demonstrate ability to switch gears by being adaptable and flexible when things are not going according to plan and by finding creative ways to be back on track. Lead & supervise activities through planning and distribution of the work, foster teamwork within & outside the team and guide the training and development of the team. Coordinate with Regional, Divisional, and Corporate teams regarding the growth and profitability outlook while maintaining a longer view of the porfolio.
This position is a full-time permanent opportunity in hybrid mode with 3 days a week presence in the office.
What you'll do here:
- Develop, maintain, and influence decisions on climate scientific roadmap underwriting structure & funnel, rating and system designs to future proof growth and resiliency in Personal Property.
- Develop methods to inspire and build a highly effective multi-disciplinary and engaged team composed of actuaries & corporate UWs capable of meeting the current and future needs through effective leadership.
- Develop, recommend, and implement leadership strategies, organizational structure, and processes/technology improvement initiatives.
- Lead working groups involving multiple stakeholders with an ability to facilitate and influence direction.
- Plan and oversee the execution of projects and strive for continuous improvement in Personal Lines’ deployment quality.
- Ensure the team is productive and continuously works to improve the processes and tools.
- Manage performance reviews, training and coaching for group members to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
- Act as a key stakeholder for large-scale projects, establishing and translating conceptual needs into concrete and clear specifications and participating in the development and tracking of deliverables.
- Represent the Corporate PL function on various company task forces and act as the point of contact for other business units.

What you bring to the table:
- University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Job-specific designation: FCAS an asset.
- Minimum 7 years of experience, including 2 years of coaching (major asset).
- Strong skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques.
