Salary range (but not limited to):
87,200 - 106,600Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role
We’re looking for a Consultant or Specialist, to join our Corporate Specialty Solutions team!
**This is a 12-month contract opportunity with option to work out of any office location in Canada.**
As a Consultant in the national Specialty Solutions Corporate team, you will be an advisor on commercial automobile including wordings, guidelines, accumulation, technology and strategy. This role requires a working knowledge of technologies that impact commercial vehicle insurance including telematics, sensors, automated driving, mobility and delivery platforms, and emerging technologies that are being introduced in the automobile ecosystem. Other key accountabilities for your role will include supporting and delivering strategic projects; providing technical support (including General Liability and Cargo) for the transportation segment; monitoring results; assisting with account referral reviews; and contributing to training—helping ensure consistent application of corporate underwriting guidelines and supporting profitable growth objectives. The successful candidate will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to analyze and interpret data to generate insights, and strong PowerPoint skills to help develop presentations with support from the broader team.
What you'll do here:
Support SL Automobile and Transportation portfolio guidelines and other projects
Review, approve, modify or decline referrals
Contribute to research opportunities, emerging trends, markets and products
Provides development and project management support on various strategic initiatives
Engages and liaises with appropriate stakeholders and supports the introduction of new products or material modification of existing products
Assist in underwriting complex commercial policies
Contributes to the development of new or modification of existing underwriting guidelines
Supports execution and oversight of Governance and Risk Management related initiatives, including but not limited to referrals, Compliance items, Regulatory guidelines, Audits, etc.
Provide training and technical support to ensure a consistent use of corporate guidelines and control insurance risks
Represents Intact at National insurance industry groups
What you bring to the table:
University Degree and CIP or FCIP designation or any combination of equivalent education and experience
Minimum experience: 3 years in relevant commercial underwriting for Consultant roles and 5 years for Specialist roles.
Experience working with telematics/connected vehicle data and commercial vehicle technology platforms is an asset; however, candidates with a strong interest and willingness to learn in this area are encouraged to apply
Ability to build clear, compelling presentations that tell a coherent story and drive key messages
Very proactive with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects
Ability to collaborate effectively and positively influence others
Highly organized, and drives change through proactive focus on executions of needed improvements and actions
Strong analytical, negotiating and decision-making skills
Willing to travel on occasion (up to 25%)
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (English) is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
