About the role
We’re looking for a Strategy Consultant to join our team and make a difference!
Strategy is a key driver of everything we do at Intact, it sets the direction of our firm and helps us achieve our purpose.
The Strategy Consultant will support the evolution of Intact’s strategy through market research and analysis.
This role reports to the Director, Corporate Strategy. This is a highly visible role with exposure to the CEO, the Chief People, Strategy & Climate Officer and other senior executives across the global organization.
The location of the role can be either Toronto or Montreal. The role is hybrid, but you'll be joining a team who are largely office-based.
What you'll do here:
Undertake market research and analysis to identify relevant industry, consumer, and technology trends which drive our Strategy at Intact
Continually assess corporate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and support the creation of actionable proposals to address them
Conduct high quality short-term research and coordination projects
Monitor and drive progress against strategic priorities and objectives
Participate in strategic planning forums to help drive our strategy
Coordinate and produce presentations for executive teams and the IFC Board of Directors
Prepare briefing notes for the CEO and other senior executives
What you bring to the table:
Typically 5+ years of work experience in Property & Casualty insurance
Post secondary education in related field (e.g. Actuarial, Finance, Business Development)
Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, MBA, and FCAS/FCIA considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high tolerance for ambiguity
Strong research abilities to draw sound conclusions from a wide range of information sources
Strong strategic thinking and communication (oral, written and presentation) abilities
Strong financial, business acumen, and analytical skills
Strong sense of urgency and resourcefulness with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Confidence interacting and presenting at the senior-most levels of the organization
Exemplify Intact’s Values: Integrity, Respect, Customer-Driven, Excellence, and Generosity
Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Bilingualism (English/French) - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
