About the role

We have a great opportunity for a forward-thinking, self-motivated Business Analyst to join our Claims Operations & Planning team, for our Digital & AI initiatives.  Acting as the link between business, IT, and Labs. Your ultimate goal will be to help ensure that we’re building the right products and processes to support a second-to-none customer experience using machine learning, data science, software engineering, AI, agility, UX and design thinking.

What you’ll do here:

  • Be in partnership with – and seek feedback from – different business experts, managers, and teams to help re-engineer and modernize our Claims processes.

  • Work with our Operations, Data Lab and IT partners to translate vision into specifications based on roadmaps.

  • Facilitate & lead workshops to document current business processes and technical systems and help to identify potential efficiencies.

  • Translate business requirements into stories.

  • Document end-to-end processes, including analysis of impacts.

  • Guide and co-ordinate the plan, design, execution, and validation of test cases.

  • Actively participate in planning, demos, committees, and retrospectives.

  • Support change management planning and delivery.

  • Communicate project progress accordingly to those involved and/or impacted.

  • Support the engagement and efficiency of the team.

  • Be the key point of contact to provide clarification and information and remove impediments.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience documenting and analyzing work processes and working with operational teams to improve those processes.

  • Digital and/or AI project delivery experience.

  • At least 3 years of Business Analyst experience.

  • P&C Insurance and claims experience, an asset.

  • Experience working in an agile Scrum / matrix environment, an asset.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Fantastic presentation skills – plus excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint and Visio.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.  

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
