About the role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Application Architect for our Financial Systems, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of technology projects that support Intact’ s finance modernization and strategic acquisition programs
What you’ll do here:
Provide impact assessment and estimations for projects and change requests.
Work with IT BAs to identify any gaps in business & functional requirements.
Provide solutions to meet business requirements.
Contribute to the development of technology roadmap.
Provide technical leadership and support to development teams.
Creating detail design documents for inbound and outbound integrations
Ensure that solutions are compliant with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Ensure consistency with the technological vision and enterprise architectural design roadmap.
Collaborate and share with other architects in the company to define and implement best practices.
Maintain and update the architecture documentation.
Perform POCs on tools and provide recommendations to solve specific business needs.
Conduct root cause analysis of issues and bottlenecks.
Make recommendations and participate in improving development and system maintenance processes.
Maintain a strong business focus with an understanding of the current and strategic direction of Intact technologies.
Effectively manage relationships and expectations across all management levels.
What you bring to the table:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent relevant experience
8-10 years of software design and development experience.
3-5 years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle ERP and EPM Cloud.
Hands on experience with Oracle REST/SOAP APIs for data integration and implementing complex integrations
Good understanding of Oracle ERP Cloud tables and FBDI templates (Financial modules)
Experience working with enterprise/solution architects, Business and IT BAs, and SMEs.
Experience working in both agile and waterfall frameworks.
Experience in Solution Architecture Practices: Creating Impact Assessments, updating roadmaps, identifying patterns, following enterprise standards, building architecture and data flows diagrams.
Experience of participating in a full lifecycle implementations of ERP projects.
Understanding of the GL, AR, AP and CM modules.
Understanding of the Planning and Budget modules.
Understanding of common technology stack including middleware application, ETL process, web services.
Understanding of cloud applications and their integrations with on-premise systems.
Experience working in insurance industry.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Oracle EPM, Oracle Apex, Oracle FDI.
SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
Performance tuning experience of database objects and programs.
Experience Working with Data:
Ability to understand end to end data flow.
Capable of identifying various data elements, the originating systems, data transformation, target systems, consumption points e.g. reports etc.
Expertise in creating data flow diagrams and to comprehend existing ones.
Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting.
Experience with Integration Middleware:
Experience working with integration middleware like IICS CAI or MuleSoft etc.
Experience working with database, SQL language, ETL tools, and reporting packages.
Understanding of data conversion and system integrations with ERP modules.
High level working knowledge of multiple complex software, various hardware platforms, network architectures, and security best practices.
Architects’ Skills:
Ability to work with high level requirements and to make architect decisions with limited information in hand.
Understand business requirements, identify gaps, provide solutions, to lead technical design sessions.
Capable of interacting effectively with business partners to understand their business processes, needs and solutions.
Capable of guiding a team through all phases of the technology life cycle, including requirements definition, high level solutioning, development, testing, implementation and warranty support.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
