Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Salary range (but not limited to):

43,600 - 53,200

 

About the role

We are looking for an Administrative Support Technician I to join our growing team!

 

This is a temporary contract for 9 months. Due to the nature of the work, this position is fully on-site at the Ajax location (59 Westney Rd S), five days per week.


What you will accomplish with us:

  • Perform various recurring administrative tasks such as shipping of documents, equipment or correspondence, entering data, scanning or filing, requisitioning equipment or supplies, setting up workstations, etc.

  • Perform simple and routine administrative duties such as dispatch documents or correspondence, data entry, filing, requisitioning material or supplies, document preparation, etc.

  • Manage correspondence and ensure the quality and accuracy of information.   Order and maintain supply inventories as needed.

  • Transcribe data from documents or databases using standardized practices.

  • Respond to a variety of requests.

  • Support projects or new initiatives as requested.        

  • Receive instructions, advice and guidelines. Perform simple and routine tasks. Closely supervised by the Facilities Manager.

  • Proficiency in Oracle payment processing, including spreadsheet tracking.

  • Reception back up as needed.


What you will bring:

  • Administrative Technician or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years minimum of experience in an office environment.

  • Legendary customer service and relationship building.

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication.

  • Highly organized and able to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision.

  • Team player with a positive attitude.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint).

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
