About the role
We are looking for a Senior Compensation and Working conditions Consultant for our national team as part of the larger Human Resources team!
As a Senior Compensation and Working conditions Consultant, you will act as a resource person and provide strategic advice and support regarding compensation and working conditions. This permanent full-time position is based in Montreal.
Here are some of the ways you're going to make a difference:
Provide advice on compensation and working conditions and propose integrated solutions to complex issues, taking into account business needs and alignment with the organization's values and best practices.
Identify value-generating opportunities and proactively recognize practices needing adjustments or improvements.
Establish and maintain a partnership with supported groups and actively participate in team meetings and client group projects as a strategic partner.
Play a strategic role by leading or actively participating in large-scale projects and initiatives, offering the opportunity to interact directly with senior management and influence the organization's key decisions.
Be at the heart of the development and implementation of policies and programs, ensuring their success through engaging communication and effective change management, while creating impactful communication materials to support these initiatives.
Conduct impact analyses in global compensation and working conditions by working closely with members of the HR community, legal services, or other business units.
Collaborate in the development of skills within the team and the HR community.
Stay informed about evolving market trends, compensation practices, working conditions, and legislative changes.
Facilitate training or information sessions.
Participate in the administration of regular operations of the compensation team (annual audits, compensation and working conditions surveys, etc.).
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, actuarial science, or a relevant field or combination of Education and relevant experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a consulting role in compensation or human resources
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Pragmatism, strong organizational skills, and results oriented
Critical thinking and strong influencing skills
Rigorous attention to detail
Ability to solve complex problems
Professionalism and high discretion
Knowledge of Workday is an asset
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Bilingualism in English and French is required. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
