1. Tell us about your career journey. What twists and turns brought you to our team? And how have you continued that journey and grown with us?
It’s important for me to be part of a structured and transparent organization, and this is the case with belairdirect. Also, the possibility of advancing my career within the company means that I can see myself working here for a very long time.
2. At belairdirect, we believe that teamwork makes the dream work! Tell us about your team. How do you work together? Set goals? Celebrate wins? Stay connected?
I was quite worried about starting this new job, as the entire training process was done remotely. But the integration with my team went really well. My success partners helped me learn more about my colleagues during our weekly team meetings, and coaching from other team members helped me ease into the job and learn good practices.
3. What brings joy to your job? Or, what motivates you to be and do your best each day?
I like listening to customers and doing everything I can to ensure they’re satisfied. I like to find solutions that will make the customer happy and appreciative.
4. What is something that others would be surprised to know about the work that you do? Or about working for the insurance industry in general?
Few people know what products they have on their policies, or what they’re paying for. I feel our work is valuable because it makes consumers aware of the importance of insurance and educates them about their coverage.
5. What’s your secret or special talent?
I don’t have a hidden talent but I love intense experiences.
Last year, for example, I jumped from the highest bungee jump in Canada – it was the most amazing experience of my life!
6. What is something you absolutely cannot live without?
I’m very close to my family and friends. I'm an aunt to four kids, soon to be five.
It would be hard for me to spend a weekend without my loved ones.
7. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Don't worry about the amount of time you spend with a customer. The best advice is to take the time to do it right and ensure that the requested changes are done properly.
